This is a continuation of our “What a Hoot” story earlier in the week.
The kids were sent outside to play and choose to go down the way a bit to their bush cubby that they call Portcullis. It is in amongst sticks and bush country and they play wonderful sorts of games down there. They soon came running back to say an owl had settled for the day on their seat. This time, armed with a camera straight away, we quietly walked down the road to see this amaaaazing thing.
We were allowed to go right up to it – it opened it's eyes – looked around – but wasn't too fussed about anything. The kids gave up their Portcullis for the day!
