My little boy is growing up.  The baby of the family is 6yo and no longer a baby. 

Last night he said, “I need reading lessons ‘cause I can’t read.  Not those guys (pointing to his siblings) they don’t need lessons.  How do you learn to read?”

If that wasn’t confirmation I don’t know what would be!  I had just said to the Speech Pathologist yesterday, that he is close to reaching frustration point because he can’t read.  He is living in a house where everyone reads and everyone writes but he can’t!  Now is the time.

Even though he has some speech difficulties (Speech Dyspraxia) which will mean some sounds won’t come out in the right place or  he’ll have blending problems he needs to read!

So in two weeks time we start reading lessons for serious with our young Daniel.
