Daniel (6yo) came running inside telling all hed found an owl asleep in one of our trees. We all traipse out to check it out. It was so high up in the tree we all ended up on the trampoline trying to get a better look.
What a hoot six of us all whispering on the trampoline so as to not wake up the owl.
After watching this bird on and off for about an hour there was big exclamations that it wasnt an owl after all! It had woken up, and untucked its head to reveal a long beak!! Oh no! Owls do not have beaks!! By the time we went to grab the camera so we could spend time identifying it it flew away.
You all had a blast, anyhow, even if you're not quite sure what you saw 🙂 You'll have great fun "remembering when"!
