The last few weeks has been like “renewing my mind” type experience.   We have taken every opportunity to learn from whatever has happened in our life – it has been a focus.   As I have made the decision to see learning value in our very existence I have also made the commitment to write what I see happening in our family.  (Hence the articles titled “Learning Happens”) 

This week I have made the commitment to do some of our table work.  It seems to have slotted in there real comfortable like!

What am I learning from this?

There is as much value in being out with Dad, cleaning up around the shed, going to the dump, working on the weeds as there is in our phonics, mathematics and Latin lessons.  

A lifestyle of learning doesn’t look down on those “formal” lesson times – A lifestyle of learning makes time for the best learning experience for that moment, it keeps in balance the whole person.
