This is one part of our “Reminder Wall” where I hang graphic reminders as well as charts to help us remember the definitions and commitments we've made to character training.
Here you can see our “Art Wall”. The kids just took down some of their art pieces yesterday so it is looking a little bare. In the left corner you can see a little of my Scrapping table. I like having that in the family room – the kids and I often all work on our different projects at the same time. You can also see a bit of the doll play stuff – there is a mat in this area too – this is where the kids play on the floor.
Here is the other half of our family room – the kids each have a desk with a tray holding their days work and assignment book, a box under the desk holding anything else they have – workbooks etc and all work finished for this year. At the very back is another set of desks with a box for each child holding their current creative project – rock polishing, wooden kids, paper mache and the like. At the left of this photo is a shelving unit which holds the computer and my books (both educational and scrapbooking).
I love pictures…it's great to get a look at how someone else puts a learning environment together. I'm intrigued with your wall of character/reminder visuals…what is the stoplight for?
The stoplight is for SELF CONTROL. Stop Think Go.
