A note regarding Discipleship:  As I look over these things I record as “learning happens”  I notice some of the seeming incidental things I have commented on – the cleaning up after themselves and the slicing of mushrooms, the looking after me when I’m tired.   Though these seem so insignificant if I am to be true to my goals of discipling my whole child these things need to be seen as significant in the child’s development.   My job isn’t just to keep the children occupied, or to give them valuable learning activities; my job is to train their hearts to love God, to love others and to be responsible adults and in doing so lots of otherwise seemingly insignificant steps need to be taken.
