How does God build up a child?
God says I knew you when you were formed in secret
God says to each grace is given sufficient unto the need
God says He has given gifts and ministries
God says God is not a man that he should lie
(Rom 8:31 NIV) What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
What are the most important things to offer our children?
I look at my life and I believe my parents got me to adulthood a confident person. How did they do that? I believe it was through relationship.
It was through our relationship that Dad told me HE was the most important person (outside of God) in my life until I got married. It was our relationship that led me to believe him.
It was our relationship that made me realise that God was a personal God for me not just for my folks.
It was our relationship that made me see the loving side of God.
It was through our relationship that I had the faith to believe God and be myself even though that was different than others.
It was through our relationship that I turned to the Word in times of stress and leant for myself that God does not lie!
I want to build up my children too am I showing them these things through our own relationship?
