Yay! it rained today – it has been so hot, horrible and muggy of late – and the storms have only been threatening. But today it happened. Not a lot, just enough to make us happy. We usually “celebrate” the first rain by running around wildly. Today I found the kids, with sweaters on, sun hats, having made a cubby, in the middle of the lawn, with towels as the roof and flooring, and chairs as the walls. There they were – sitting in the middle of the lawn, in the middle of a rain shower, eating biscuits and reading!
