Wednesday  – Today Daddy comes home so it is buckle down and get the place clean!  But… we spent 1 ½ hours putting together Daniel’s Lego Water Rescue set instead!  Daddy still came home, house still needs cleaning, and Daddy still loves us!

Daddy came home bearing gifts for all.  Josh got Steve Waugh’s autobiography – we didn’t see much of Josh after this!  Daniel got a plane so he headed off to make a runway and hanger.  Nomi got a soft toy dog (her instant companion!) and Jess got a little purse mirror.

Jess has spent time this afternoon working on her horse lapbook – an independent project driven by her interest.  She is putting the finishing touches to it, which include stories from her grandfathers, who both worked with horses in their younger days.

Everyone had reading rest time after lunch, with the younger two having a little extra time to themselves, playing in their respective rooms.  Daniel played a very involved game including his Lego Water Rescue Station and his pirate ship.  He hasn’t played like that for a long time.  He played for a good ½ hour.

Jess, Nomi and Daniel have spent time working on their Christmas gift projects. (nothing can be revealed in type till after Christmas!)

A storm came over in the late afternoon so the kids headed outside to play – in the hope that the storm would cool things down a little.  This excited Domino – everyone out to play with “me”!!  Nomi got overwhelmed but Pete was in ear shot so he raced out and hence begins Dominoes training!  After the dog settled down, everyone joined in for some throwing and catching practice with Dad.  It was still raining slightly so it was nice outdoors.
