Monday – We started our day with our study of Cautiousness (Character First).  We were reminded that being careful (our usual interpretation of Cautious) often looks after our physical body but to be cautious, in the full sense, means being aware that there are dangers for our spiritual and moral beings as well as our physical.  We are to be aware of what is happening around us, heed warnings and make choices that line up with the Word of God.  We looked at the concept of asking for permission – This was a great opportunity to polish up the concept of asking, “Do I have the freedom?” 

I started Daniel off with TOPScience today.  We are working with Lentil Science.  He got acquainted with the equipment and the expectations of being careful and cleaning up when finished.  He worked on pouring lentils, observing and packing away.  He also worked on a sequencing task – sequencing various pictures of lentils being poured out of the bottle.  He will need to do this job card a few more times in the next few weeks.

Naomi spent quite some time working on a notebook page for Character First.  She used clip art and “Print Artist” to find her illustrations.  The end page was a green page with a “Groundhog” popping out of the ground.  Her copy work was completed neatly.

Josh and Jess worked on their magazine.  They completed their articles as well as worked on a template and cover page.

Nomi and Daniel spent time with Lego together.  Josh spent ½ hour on his Chemistry. The rest of the afternoon was spent with friends.
