Tuesday
Today was a blah day for all. We are still shaking off colds and are also feeling the effects
of being at the end of the busy work season for Peter.
Once again we worked through our list of what needed to be
done, especially with Christmas looming so close.
Josh worked on his math and science and enjoyed watching
Australia win the 2nd Ashes test over England.
Jessica and I delivered two orders for her book. This ended up in us staying for a cuppa at
each house. So we had a nice afternoon
visiting!
Daniel and Nomi worked on Christmas presents and various art
projects throughout the day.
Early in the morning Daniel was completing some jigsaw
puzzles. After he finished an ABC
puzzle I sat down on the floor with him and we compared the Capital letter
puzzle with the Lower case puzzle and reviewed the sounds each one
makes. It was a good learning
opportunity and I was glad I saw it and seized it.
Our devotional from Jessicas Advent calendar didnt happen
till after dinner. The kids all
gathered their Bibles, and Nomi grabbed a Bible-Dictionary and we read our
verse. We read of the prophecy that
declared the saviour was to come from Bethlehem and discussed that this meant
God knew what was going to happen over 700 years prior. That is a long time for a kid to understand!
