MM came around to help us finish our Movie Making Project. I am still amazed how it has worked out with the kids doing two movie type projects if the same few weeks. It has been a great learning experience for them.
Today we finished filming the rest of the script, downloaded it all to MM’s computer and began the editing process. The children enjoyed seeing it come together and making editing choices such as background music, giving it a title, and various filming effects such as fading in etc. We are hoping to get the editing done by Monday night. We shall see.
The afternoon was spent in quiet pursuits – Jess, Nomi and Daniel worked on Jigsaw puzzles again while listening to Story Hour tapes (Old Testament stories dramatised). Joshua is creating a mind strategy, war, and civilisations type game.
We went out in the evening to celebrate a friends 40th. The kids took some activities – Elastics, French Cricket and a Skipping rope – to play with all the kids. Josh took great initiative to keep the kids active and occupied. Later in the evening he joined boys his age down on the river edge spotting for crocodiles. I don’t think they saw any but they had a great time in the dark with a torch! The younger kids spent the evening watching the movie “Cars”, which is a big hit in our family.
And for me…. My afternoon gave me Scrapbooking time – I all but finished 10 pages – still got the journaling to go.
hi Belinda – You've mentioned the story hour tapes a couple of times now. What are they? Where did you get them? What ages would they be suitable for?
Love reading about your days. They sound so much more relaxed than mine! Glad you had some scapping time!
