We were trying to get some handwriting done – in my thinking it was just one sentence and it was copywork. But those big brown eyes looked up at me and I saw how tired my little boy was. I realised how he had been trying hard all morning, how he had done such good work and I knew he had done enough for the day. I suddenly realised the learning curve he was on.
