This has been a very productive week.
I finished my sewing projects – 4 flowergirl dresses for the wedding this weekend. It has been such a blessing to have friends support me during this week. One friend delivered dinner for us, another gave us a delicioius loaf of homemade bread. Two friends helped out with the dresses towards the end of the week when I just needed a break and a helping hand. Our cars were washed, inside and out and I had a help to get my laundry caught up. It is great to have friends around you.
Josh, Jess, Nomi worked for an hour in the morning and an hour in the late afternoon down at the tree paddock pruning. Daniel stayed with me and practiced playing by himself. And I do mean practice. It is something he finds hard to do and yet a very important skill.
All four of the kids worked diligently on their stories for the Story book competition run by the local library. Daniel has completed all his pictures and just has to dictate the story to me next week. The girls are close to finishing their text. It takes us a good week to put a book together – including the artwork, the scanning, formatting, compiling and final binding. They need to be finished by next Friday afternoon.
We have friends staying with us for 7-10 days. They have come over for the wedding. I love seeing the girls get in and get the guest room ready. In the last few weeks we have had to get the guest room ready twice. Jess made a definate decision to change some of the room decorations to suit the guests which was a nice touch.
My goals for next week are:
1. New Character trait for the month – Gratefulness
2. Start a movement-exercise programme for Daniel
3. Work on the Story books.
4. Prepare for the Moderator’s visit the following week.
And yes, they are the order of my priorities!
