I started blogging mid 2005 looking to join a world wide homeshool community. My personal goals for blogging was mainly to record the real life stuff that happens in our day with the idea that as I saw it on paper (so to speak) it would sink into my heart that learning happened all the time, not just at lessons. Blogging truly has helped me in my journey moving from school to discipleship of my children.
My dream place to blog? Words come to me while I’m at a computer! Not very poetic, nothing like watching kookaburras fly by, or the sun setting over rugged red hills, or a cozy, country cottage (or castle!) but there you have – my dream place to blog is in front of the computer ‘cause that is when words come!
More about me?
I usually blog early in the morning (between 4-6am) or snippets through the day.
My favourite drink would be white tea but I’m trying to be healthier so I’m converting to Rooibos tea which is a red tea from Africa.
My favourite book – that is a hard questions! I have different favourite books for different areas of my life – but the book that comes to my mind, a favourite story would be “The Scarlett Pimpernel”.
My favourite dessert is Cheesecake – the unbaked kind. But as I say, I’m trying to be healthy so the alternative is raw chocolate pie!
A scripture that has been an inspiration in my growth with Christ has been Ps 37:3-4. This scripture was meaningful to me as a single girl and then significant in our marriage as well. Trust in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Hi there-I enjoyed reading your BFS assignment! I like what you said about discipleship.
Love the verse you picked, too. Holly
Thanks for the visit. I don't remember where I heard the statement about books being our friends, but have found it to be personally applicable.
Belinda…Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog! (And yes, you caught me, peeking before I posted…..:-)) Your blog has been such a blessing to me…I'm looking forward to getting to know you better through BFS!
Wow — 4am – 6am! I am NOT a morning person and I'm usually in my deepest sleep 🙂
Enjoyed your post!
