My goal for sharing my menu plan isn’t so much to tell you what wonderful and terribly normal recipes our family eats, nor to be accountable in actually cooking what I plan but rather to make me think (and then be accountable) about getting my kids to help me in the kitchen. They are developing well with their cooking skills, one skill at a time, but I want them to have a couple of kitchen experiences each a week. Here’s my plan.
Monday – Left overs from the fridge –help your self!
Tuesday – Savoury Mince (from freezer) with rice, salsa vegetables and homemade BBQ sauce.
Cook’s helper Naomi – rice,
Wednesday – Sweet Potato Mac., Toss salad
Cook’s helper Joshua – Toss salad
Lunch time prepare onion toppers – Jessica – marinate vegetables
Make Fruit balls and cashew creams – Daniel – fine motor activity
Thursday – Cauliflower cream, Mushrooms and BBQ sauce, with Onion toppers
Friday –
Pack lunches – Jessica
Dinner – grab something while in town (Belinda – fruit)
Saturday – Birthday Party
Prepare for picnic lunch tomorrow
Jessica – Zucchini slice
Naomi – chocolate slice
Daniel – choc chip cookies
Joshua – Minestrone soup
Sunday
Breakfast – special packaged cereal (can’t believe I’m telling everyone this!)
Prepare Banana crepes for Belinda’s lunch
Snacks – fruit, dried fruit, choc chip cookies and choc slice
Lunch – Zucchini slice
Dinner – Soup
Looks like a pretty yummy Menu Plan! 🙂
