Everyone still a bit blah! We had a slow start but then felt is was worth doing a little bit. Josh has been working on a graphic presentation of the migration and development of people groups as we know them today. He is struggling to keep this graphic rather than using a lot of words, which is the very reason why I have asked for graphic – a new challenge for him.
Jess has done her science and is itching to get into her blog-world, though she needs to read a story or two to Daniel first.
Nomi has been reading some A.A. Milne poems looking for something to present at the Co-op tomorrow for their Oral Presentation. (Jess has decided to talk casually about the benefits of blogging.)
Today I went through our bookshelves and pulled the important books for Josh and Jess to read this year. I have plenty for Josh to have on his reading list though Jessica’s was a bit light on so we browsed through Honey for a Teen’s Heart and have come up with about 12-15 books that would be good for her to read this year. We used categories such as:
· Literature (Classic literature is our goal but not limited to)
· Science, Technology
· History, including Australian History
· Christian Reading, both biographies and books that speak to your heart.
Though I have assigned these books now, as their Reading List, I am always open to them reading other books that come across their path. With having a written list though we have something to compare their incidental choice with to ensure the value is there for their time and effort. What book is the best choice for now?
