We started our day discussing the fact that there are times when our circumstances change and in such times we need to change our behaviour. For example, our normal morning routine is at a gentle pace, working steadily but not rushed. But when circumstances change, such as a day working outdoors with dad, our behaviour needs to change – we need to have a quick breakfast and work that little faster to get our chores done.
Pete and the kids worked on getting retic(water) on the veggie garden and to the chook shed. They are a little over half way done.
I continued to work in the office once again working on those little jobs that always gets pushed away.
This afternoon the kids started practicing their Interpretive Speech for their Speak Up lesson on.
A box arrived from Koorong with a VegieTales DVD the kids hadn’t seen so we ate dinner watching “The Bad Apple” all about resisting temptation. It was very good. I would like to watch it again and discuss it with the kids. I find it helpful to remember a few phrases from movies like this so we can incorporate them into our family language when we are talking about issues such as temptation.
