My literal son
As I spend more time studying my little man, Daniel, to get to know him and how he ticks it becomes more and more apparent that he is very literal. Very literal.
Yesterday we were driving to a friends place and we had to drive over a bridge. Earlier on Joshua had mentioned the historical facts behind the song “London Bridge is falling down” so as we drive over the bridge Daniel starts singing this rhyme. We laughed at the timing and to be honest, the inappropriateness of it!! LOL. But we expressed it sarcastically – we said, “Good song to sing Daniel!”
On our way home, back across the bridge, Daniel starts singing again. We laughed and he retaliated by saying “You said it was a good song to sing!” Oh how right he was. We did say those exact words.
How challenging it is to keep our words true.
It's lovely to hear stories like this of families just enjoying each other for being themselves! Keep smiling!
When he came home with us on Friday he started singing again as we crossed the bridge. Now I can put the whole picture together.
That is tooo funny Kerry!
