This week has been delightful (so far… we are only starting Thursday!) but I have seen a change in our family since I tweaked things early this week. Here are some of the children’s choices for their afternoons
* Nomi and Daniel have played outside both together and individually. They are making cubbies and mini towns in the garden
* Daniel has picked up the camera, taken photos of animals, he’s completed a sketch of a bird, a narration and we uploaded it all to his new blog God’s Creation
* Jessica spent an afternoon cooking – choc chip cookies and a Honey Sultana slice, she also rearranged her recipe book
* Nomi has nearly finished a pencil drawing of two dogs
* Josh has played cricket and has two afternoons of working
* Jess helped the younger two with their blogs
* Jess has decided on her next creative project
* They’ve listened to Odyssey / Audio CD
* Daniel has played with his lego
* Nomi spent an afternoon read Little Pilgrims progress, and comparing our different versions/editions
The best thing is the happy buzz that is around. But when time is not tightly structured there is also opportunity for relationship frictions. But that is a good thing because I’m not so rushing from one activity to the next we are actually sorting these things out! When life is slower there is more time for training!
