If you were given a few hours each afternoon to spend as you want – what would you do? These are our children’s responses – I typed as they thought this through. This list is going to make up their choices for productive free time. Ideally I would prefer them not to need a list but the younger two especially will benefit from having a choice, but a limited choice as they learn to use their time wisely. Daniel will still need me to make some decisions for him but when it comes from a list that he has written (such a this list) he has a little more ownership. The list for the older two is purely as an example so they can see the benefit of such a time (therefore, take ownership as well).

This is a timely post for me….we need to work up a list like this as well! Thanks for sharing the idea.
Do you help them in their free time pursuits, or do you have your own things to do? This sounds like a great idea. It must be a special time in your family, and what a lovely list of activites your children take part in!
