I married a farmer and yet I don’t do farm work.
I married a vet and yet I don’t do animals!
So what am I doing sitting in an irrigation channel?
Yesterday we had a major washout in the channel, water was pouring through the check and this was going to affect how much water we could get on the paddock. Josh tried to dam it back up with dirt and rocks but really the force of water washed that away pretty quick. So Josh and I went back down to try and dam it up with big rocks. We slowed it down a little but by the time we got back in the car the water had forced its way through again. Pete phoned and told us where some plastic was so we went down a third time to dam it up with a big sheet of plastic. The trick was to ensure no water was trapped under the plastic. The water stank! So here I am, kneeling down in smelly water, building a brick wall on top of some plastic. We took the photo as proof else no-one would believe it was Belinda doing these things!!
That's a good story. I think God likes to stretch us with the unexpected requirement of life!
You don't fool me – you can do whatever you turn your hand to!! What is that old fashioned word your Gma would say? Needs Must?? LOL Ham'G
I must admit that withought that photo I wouldn't have believed you! Well done!
