Encouragement to be a better mother!
Why planning works for me These are good reminders some weeks happen and I dont get on top of my planning and things dont go near as smoothly.
We have a long car trip planned I think this activity would be just perfect. A collection of information and interesting things to read and learn while travelling, all clipped together. This link leads you to instructions using plastic placemats but since I doubt very much that I’ll find those in my home town, I think I’ll make my own charts up and laminate them – making it a very personalised set. I think this will be just right for Daniel.
Kindle Id love a Kindle but not sure Im ready to give up on books just yet but look at these fantastic book titles for free that you could read on a kindle. Then I learnt you can download Kindle software for your computer now that sounds like a great idea. I could take read alouds on my laptop when we go on our trip. Thanks to Freely-educate for this link.
Note: Trip doesnt happen till January 2011 kids and I are just in planning mode so we are seeing things pertaining to that very excited!! Of course plans might change!
Reading the Heart of Wisdom Teaching Approach was one of the foundational reads in my homeschooling journey. I often refer to her 4 step approach when putting a lesson together. Recently Robyn has put together a lesson on the Ant it not only is a fantastic heart based lesson it also shows how you can put a lesson together following the 4 step approach.
Organising my desk: This is one of my biggest challenges! Early in the week I spent 3 hours in my office and cleared boxes of paper work. Yes, boxes. Most of it went straight to the bin but I still had to shift through it all. My challenge now is Marcias point #5 tidy my desk every day!
Projects for my kids:
Placemat handbag – I particularly like the idea of this bag being an organiser for inside a bigger bag.
I love these little clutch bags think I might make one myself also think this will be the project I use with the girls for sewing in zips.
