From my daughter Jess isnt it wonderful when our children grow in maturity that they can turn around and bless or challenge your heart:
- forget the lists: http://jessicaletchford.wordpress.com/2010/06/23/forget-the-lists/
- Time management http://jessicaletchford.wordpress.com/2010/06/26/time-managment-ideas/ It wasnt so much the time management tips she discovered but the fact that she recognised something in her life she wanted to change and she looked for solutions or ideas to work with.
Quote from AussieHomeschool facebook page: The finest art of communication is not learning how to express your thoughts. It is learning how to draw out the thoughts of another. ~ Tedd Tripp, Shepherding a Childs Heart. How often this aspect of communication is overlooked in our training.
Christian Fiction reading list. I am trying to read more not the snippets I read online but real books. Im trying to read more instructional/encouragement books as they encourage my heart, sharpens my focus and helps me grow and Im trying to read more fiction mainly at nighttime, my relaxation. It is easy to get caught up with the same authors or genres. I appreciated Robyns list which had many different types of books, which Ive never looked at before. Im going to earmark this for the next time Im looking for a fiction book.

and from Homeschooling the Easy Way this week: How to build your library ,.
I posted this on my Lifestyle Homeschool Facebook page but not here on my blog. My kids have had such a good time with this. Learn the 10 Commandments in 5 minutes (It truly works!!)
Over the last week Ive spoken to a few mums about learning to type – here is an article from my website on that topic http://www.lifestyle-homeschool.com/learning-to-type.html
Ive been enjoying Evernote for making digital lists. I have lists for everything and I carry it around on my phone and have it synchronised on my desktop. It has helped so much with a few family projects I have happening at the moment.
The other technical tip Ive been enjoying lately is a little Goggle tip. If you want to find something from a particular website Google will find it for you even if the website doesnt have a search box for you to use. Type the topic you are looking then the site command which is: site:[enter the website name]
For example if I want to find everything I have written about conversations on Lifestyle Homeschool I can Google it by typing in:
Conversations site:lifestyle-homeschool.com
Check it out I love it. It is so quick and works on most sites. (For searches on Homeschoolblogger you need to use the whole URL)
Thanks for linking to me Mum!
I have to admit, Evernote looks tempting for holidays. Maybe another time…
