Here are some links to blogs and webpages that I’ve been reading over the last week:
Though I’m not committing myself to a reading challenge – these tips to increase how much reading are worthwhile considering. I have too many books on my to read list so I’ve got a “I’m Reading Pile” and “Next” and “One day”. My current on the go books are: Grace Based Parenting by Tim Kimmel, Transforming Children into Spiritual Champions by George Barna, Heart and Mind by Ruth Beechick, Real Leaders don’t do Powerpoint by Christopher Witt. Plus my bedtime reading which I keep to narrative of some sort is about Kathrine Luther (Martin Luther’s wife)
I use Creative Memories Memory Manager to store and organise our photos but this post had me thinking beyond software – How to organise photos. We have so many photos – not all of them are enjoyable to look at. Why keep them. All these extra photos are just clutter.
Laraba’s Homeschool Blog writes about the fact that our delights (as parents) will influence/affect our children. We can see this very clearly in our children – if you pass on your delights to your children, those things become like a family identity thing. What flavours do you see in your family?
Why Women love Jerks – interesting title!! I especially appreciated the list in this post that defined jerk – some great things to point out to my sons what not to be!
I’ve already shared this link over on Facebook, but this article by Sally Clarkson has got me to thinking about how much I am available to my son Daniel. He still needs me to help him develop skills and interests (but the computer makes it so easy!)
