Faith Moments – This website provides a devotional thought for families.  Each week they introduce a spiritual truth through animation then they provide thoughtful questions and activities for you to use with your children throughout the week.  I haven’t used the animation but I have appreciated the Take Another Moment notes found on the Parents page.  Actually the Daily Word page (also found on the Parents page) was also good to read as they directed the parents to pray for their children each day.  Check it out – there are a lot of resources on this website and I am sure you will be able to tweak it to fit your family just as I have mine.

Very excited that our family is starting the Truth Project as a part of our weekly Mid-week Bible Study.  Josh, Jess and Nomi all join in and we have another 4-5 people coming as well.

Help! I need to get things done!  by Cindy Rushton.  I appreciated the reminder.  I brain dump often – I keep a running dump actually.  I use Evernote so that I can keep my dumps on my desktop and my phone (but Notes via Outlook work just as well too).   Jess has helped me go through this process with major hotspots (as in, areas where we have dumped stuff throughout the house and they continually get overlooked or ignored).  We have written up a list of all the areas, as per room, and we have started on the office.  I am so thankful for her help.

I am following Terri Camp and her family as they work on a business plan for the next 21 days.   I first ‘met’ Terri through her book Ignite the Fire which was an inspiring read in my homeschooling journey.

Sometimes I wish I had preschoolers around again just to do all this fun stuff!

Voices from the Past – though these audio books are based on American stories I think our family will enjoy them.  I also appreciated reading the blog post about the opportunity of working as a family on such a project.

I spent a fair bit of time browsing this Art Lesson website.  I need to find ways to challenge my arty child beyond just drawing.

As I was browsing one morning I found an advert for Open Universities Australia and thought I’d link that here too.  This is the University pathway that Joshua is taking.  This maybe of interest to Australian readers.  We have been told that after a student has a few university credits to his name he could transfer to another university (should there be a place etc) based on those credits not based on highschool details.  This makes OUA a great option for homeschool students.

And while I’m talking about Josh – I’ve really enjoyed his last few posts as he reflects on his learning.

I try to keep up with the internet reading my children follow – I ask them to forward anything that has specifically encouraged them.  (Only Josh and Jess read stuff online, Nomi has to limit herself to links provided by myself or Jessica)  Jessica enjoys Bloom.

I was challenged with this post, No Spend Month – the phrase that caught my attention was:  Can we stop looking for things to buy to improve our home and lifestyle?   I wonder how much of my time and effort (and money) is spent in this category?  To be honest, I’m not ready to stop for a month but it has certainly made me more aware.
