Once again here are some of the links to things I’ve read online this week.
Kendra’s post: Christmas Books reminded me that one of the tasks I had to do this week was pull out our box of Christmas books and see which ones I wanted to use this year. Here’s a link to some of the books I’ve used over Christmases past.
Another reminder of the importance of talking to each other around the dinner table.
As Sally Clarkson reflects on what she would do differently, it is a reminder to younger mums to do things differently today. Today, I’ll take time to….
Learning geography by reading about missionaries – this was a good reminder to me. I have these books she mentions and yet we only dip into them occasionally – I’ve pulled one out and put in our dinner table conversation box. I have also subscribed to the Voice of the Martyrs prayer emails (which I will also bring to our meal times to talk and pray about together).
Nativity Scene cookie cutters – I hope my set arrives before Christmas (maybe this will have to be for next year!)
I appreciated reading this honest look at saying hello (to husband) – something that needs to be worked on around here! I particularly liked her reflection at the end on what she feels like when she has been away for a bit – worth considering!
Jimmie always has something helpful to share: Teaching Geography without buying Curriculum
We starated our studies on Dependability this week. I’ve used snippets from Character Journal.
