Going through my files this week I found this little poem that was written by my kids many years ago (2002) as a part of their Character First studies. Love is a doing word – it is a timely reminder at this busy time when we have so many projects on the go. It is easy to say we love and yet our actions don’t always show it.
Love is a Doing Word
I will love other people
Just as Jesus has loved me
I will give to those around me
With a heart that is free
I will not rejoice when others fail
I will meet the needs of others
I will show what Jesus looks like
To all my sisters and brothers
Are your actions showing Jesus to your family today?
