Your word have I laid up in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Ps 119:11
You need to know God’s Word. It is a light to your path – it will give you direction and clarity throughout your life.
Every Scripture is God breathed and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action). So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim 3:16-17
Knowing God’s Word will equip you for every task He asks of you. Treasure it – it is your most precious possession.
Spending time with God each day is an important habit to develop for you to grow as a Christian. During this time read His word, ponder it, pray about it and listen to what God would have to say to you personally. I have found that having this time early in the morning before daily commitments crowd my mind and emotions is generally the best time of day to meet with God. Think carefully before you allow time pressures to rob you of this time with God.

I completely agree. This is the main point of my message on intentional parenting that I will be sharing this morning at a mom’s group. We need to be in the Word to know God to teach it to our children and have our lives transformed by God’s truth.
