Today’s episode is a little different than usual – I have a handful of questions people have asked – so I’m calling this episode: Questions People Ask about Christmas. Original hey!! Over the last few episodes, we’ve looked at how to create a heart-focused Christmas – by building up your children’s beliefs and values as you celebrate Christmas. I do hope you have a fun time together with your family – and that the peace that a relationship with Jesus offers will fill your heart.
There is no transcript for this week’s episode. These are the 8 questions that I answer.
Q#1. What is your favourite Christmas tradition?
Q#2. Do you have a Christmas ritual that you do that no one knows about?
Q#3. How did you teach your kids that it wasn’t all about the gifts they were getting?
Q#4. Does your husband’s family celebrate Christmas differently than yours?
Q#5. How has celebrating Christmas changed now that your kids have grown up and left home?
Q#6. Did you do Santa when the kids were growing up?
Q#7. What do you wish you did differently about Christmas’ past – especially when your kids were young?
Q#8. What is your best tip to stay calm and unstressed during the holidays?
I just want to finish up with reminding you to remember why you are celebrating Christmas and that the traditions and the activities you have happening are to help you do that. But if you are cranky and stressed then the kids remember the cranky and stress, they don’t remember the activities you pushed everyone to do. So keep it in balance. Family time, being together, strengthening relationships – that is what is important.
I want to take the opportunity to thank you for joining me here on my podcast. It has been a bit of a scarey thing to do this year but I’ve enjoyed it and I look forward to sharing more heart-focused thoughts with you next year. I really do thank you for inviting me into your family life.
This is the last episode for the year as I’m taking a few weeks off to celebrate Christmas and be with my family. You can follow along as our family is all coming together this year so it is very exciting – join me on Instagram – my handle is @belindaletchford – I’m going to be sharing on the spot so no planning – just sharing what I’m thinking and doing as the days go along.
Also if you join Heart Boosters you’ll receive an email announcing when the podcast is up and happening in 2023.
Merry Christmas!

I also offer one-to-one coaching. Your first coaching call, JumpStart, is free - and we spend time getting to know each other, as well as discussing the things you are finding hard so that we can clarify the key step forward. At the end of the call, you will have a heart-focused action step to work on. You can then decide if you want to book a Moving Forward call and then later continue with an Accountability call.
