This short email course came about because I got tired of re-writing other people’s Christmas plans to fit my family, to fit our family values, and to fit the memories we wanted to make. So I started creating my own prompt sheets – prompts to make me think about what was truly important.
This course won’t tell you what to do – but it will encourage you to think about what you hold important at Christmas time so you can make it happen.
Hi I’m Belinda – and I love Christmas!
Many years ago, Peter (my husband) and I sat down to think about how we celebrated Christmas – or even if we wanted to celebrate Christmas. We decided there were two reasons why we wanted to celebrate.
1–We wanted to acknowledge the peace that is now ours (and everyone’s) because of the gift of Jesus. Peace happens when we live in harmony in our relationships and Jesus coming was for the sole purpose of us being able to have a relationship with God. We want to celebrate that.
2–Culturally, Christmas is a fun time where we can build memories with our kids – and we wanted that too.
So when I start preparing for Christmas I don’t want to be swept up with all the commercialism that goes on – I want to focus on those two things and make sure that our hearts and activities are in the right place.
I hope you sign up and really enjoy the thought process of knowing your why and how for celebrating a heart focus Christmas in your family.
