Friday Today was our Co-op day though due to various things happening in our home we decided to miss the activity session and turn up for morning tea, Character and Oral Presentations.
The kids watched a great little puppet sketch on Determination dont give up, keep on trying.
For their Oral Presentations this month:
- Josh delivered his poem on My Room
- Jess had a monologue from Cleopatras hairdresser giving all the goss on Cleopatra this was a good opportunity for various expressions both voice, facial and body.
- Nomi gave a short report on Monkeys, written in the first person, ie being a monkey
- Daniel showed the older kids how to mix vinegar and bi-carb to make a volcano.
We joined with one other family and went out for lunch at one of the local parks. It was a great space for the kids to run and walk and talk and us mums had a lovely hour or so to chat.
We got home in time for Josh and Jess to get themselves ready for their Bush Survival Course and we turned around and drove back into town.
When I picked them back up at 9.00pm they were fully a-buzz with all sorts of excitement, adventure and bush skills. I am hoping that they will notebook some of their things they learnt as well as take Nomi and Daniel bush to show them. (In daylight not nighttime!)
You’ll be happy to know our “co-op” which is so far just for support met the other night. NINE moms! I’m so overwhelmed that all these moms are hsing and I know them!! God is awesome. I can tell he’s going to do (some more) great things!
I’ve been thinking about you and hoping all is well. I’ll write soon!
Love,
Melissa
